A coalition the whole world can sign.
Oncology research institutions, global cancer activist organizations, and non-profits are signing the Cancer Alliance Declaration. It is built to be signed by every employer and every government, too — a shared commitment to risk-based prevention.
The Cancer Alliance Imperative.
For most of modern medicine, cancer was something discovered late and treated hard. The science has changed. Risk-based assessment, hereditary panels, and polygenic scoring now make much of early-onset cancer visible years before it would otherwise surface.
That creates an obligation — and it does not fall on medicine alone. Research institutions can prioritize it. Governments can fund and enable it. Non-profits and activist organizations can carry it into communities. And employers, who reach hundreds of millions of working-age adults every day, can make risk assessment and screening a standard part of working life.
The Cancer Alliance Imperative is simple: wherever an institution can move the moment of knowing earlier, it should.
Download The ImperativeKnowing your cancer risk should not depend on where you live or who you work for.
Until that is true everywhere, the institutions that lead will decide how fast that day arrives.
The Cancer Alliance Declaration.
A named leader signs the Declaration on behalf of the organization. It is a commitment, not a logo — and it is the same for a research institute, a non-profit, a government, or an employer.
We recognize that early-onset cancer is rising, that much of it is preventable when risk is known early, and that no one should have to wait for a diagnosis to learn what their body was signaling years before. We commit to the following.
-
01
Make risk-based prevention available.
Within our reach and our influence, we will make next-generation screening and risk-based assessment available to the people we serve, employ, or represent.
-
02
Support those identified as high-risk.
We will support screening, intervention, and preventative care for anyone a risk assessment flags as high-risk — so a finding leads to action, not a dead end.
-
03
Advance the work in our field.
In research, policy, the workplace, or the community, we will advance risk-based prevention — and share what works through Preempt's curated network.
-
04
Report our progress, publicly.
We will be accountable for our commitment, reporting our progress so others can learn from it and hold us to it.

Who has signed the Declaration.
As research institutions, non-profits, employers and governments sign the Cancer Alliance Declaration, each joins the public registry — visible to anyone, verifiable by anyone.
Every signatory, on the record.
The registry lists each organization that has signed — its category, its commitments, and, for employer Coalition Members, its current certification status. Transparency is part of the commitment.
