Cancer is now a workforce problem. You can be the reason it shrinks.

The decision a CEO or Chief People Officer makes about screening reaches further than any individual one ever could. The Cancer Alliance is how that decision gets made — and certified.

Why this lands on your desk.

Three facts have quietly changed what cancer means for an employer.

  • 01

Cancer is appearing earlier — in your working-age employees.

Colorectal cancer in the thirties. Breast cancer in the forties. Every solid tumor is now showing up before the screening guidelines expect it. The people affected are mid-career, often parents, and central to your organization.

  • 02

It is the leading driver of large-employer health cost.

Late-stage treatment is the most expensive path through cancer — for the health plan and for the human being. Risk-based screening moves the diagnosis earlier, where outcomes are better and costs are lower.

  • 03

Prevention is now a benefit people can name.

A risk assessment and a clear screening plan are tangible. They are the kind of benefit an employee tells a friend about — and the kind a board can see the value of in a single sentence.

The old model waits for a diagnosis. The Cancer Alliance moves the moment of knowing years earlier.

The Cancer Alliance

The Cancer Alliance is a coalition of institutions, non-profits, governments and employers committing to risk-based prevention. Employers go further — as Coalition Members, they make next-generation screening and risk-based assessment available to every employee and their partners.

It comes with one operational commitment: provide screening, interventions, and preventative services for anyone identified as high-risk.

Become a Coalition Member
The membership commitment

Coalition Members agree to provide all employees and partners next-generation screening and risk-based assessment — plus screening, interventions, and preventative services for identified high-risk individuals. Members pay an annual fee and report their numbers each year.

What members get

A board-ready credential, an annual benchmark against peers, the Preempt toolkit for rollout and communications, and — at 80% screened — World's Healthiest Companies certification.

World's Healthiest Companies.

The certification mark for employers that meet the Preempt standard for risk-based cancer prevention in their workforce. It is designed to be board-ready — a credential a Chief People Officer can put on a careers page and an annual report alike.

To qualify, a Coalition Member screens at least 80% of its employees through next-generation risk assessment, and provides prevention and intervention services to those identified as high-risk. Certification is awarded annually.
